The WHY
We aim to offer an enhanced parking area, a welcoming space, and better accessibility for everyone visiting or attending RLCC.
The City of Zimmerman plans to install a roundabout at the intersection of Fremont Avenue and 2nd Street. This construction will impact our corner lot, parking availability, and the church parking lot entrance. The city intends to close the current Fremont Avenue entrance and create a new one on 2nd Street. In response, we aim to enhance our parking lot and reposition the church’s main entrance to overlook it. Additionally, we will construct a foyer and welcome area to expand the church’s capacity.
Phase 1: The city will construct a new driveway entrance to the church’s parking lot, and we will pave the existing parking area to facilitate smoother access and egress. The project is slated to begin in Spring 2025.
Phase 2: Our renovation plans include demolishing the current front entrance to reduce noise from the street, erecting a new entrance with a foyer, installing a ramp (as depicted in the potential design below), and implementing other essential interior modifications to the church.
